Entry Rules & Important Stuff

Contents

You must have a MyABC account to register for the Vanity Fair Horse Show. Registration is fully automated via your MyABC interface. Entry Instructions can be found ~HERE~.

Your horse must be an ABC Horse. We do not accept foals (3 days and under), starters, boxed horses, or pets at this time.

You must dress in the appropriate monthly theme and follow any instructions during the show or risk disqualification.

A 250L service fee per horse entry is payable before the show begins. Without this, your entry will be made void, and you will not be able to participate in the Vanity Fair. Please remember to pay this as soon as possible.

Each month will highlight a different theme, so please be prepared to dress according to the given theme. (See the planned themes above.)

Your costumes and outfits must be theme related, non-offensive, and contain limited scripts and particles. Anyone violating these rules will be disqualified on the day of the Vanity Fair.

You will be asked to perform a few very simple manoeuvers while riding your horse in the judging arena. These will be extremely easy and are designed to show off all the hard work and glamour you have put into your presentation. Listen carefully for any instructions, and in particular when your Entry Number is called during judging.

Judging is based on your horse’s traits, in addition to your appearance on the day. Each part amounts to roughly ⅓ of your final score, so thoughtful breeding and planning is just as important as making sure you are dressed to impress.

Judging is divided into three parts and based on the following:

  • Trait Score – An objective score automatically calculated based on rarity distributions. Up to 35 points total.

  • Coat Score – An objective score automatically calculated based on rarity distributions. Up to 35 points total.

  • Judges Score – A subjective score determined by our judge(s) on the day of the event. Up to 30 points total.

The first-place winner from each of the 6 Classes (shown below) will be automatically entered into the final Best in Show Event. This event is judged solely using the judge’s score to determine the Best in Show winner.

Please be aware that only 20 horses maximum will participate for each event type so entries are limited. It is important to register as early as possible.

You can only enter one horse per event type, up to two horses in total for the show.

All ABC breeds are welcome to enter the Vanity Fair and are divided into 6 Event Classes. The registration system will automatically find the correct Event type based on your horse’s ID to make signing up as easy as possible. Expand the list below for the full list of breeds and which Class they belong to.
