Participation Requirements

Each month will highlight a different theme, so please be prepared to dress according to the given theme. (See the planned themes above.)

Your costumes and outfits must be theme related, non-offensive, and contain limited scripts and particles. Anyone violating these rules will be disqualified on the day of the Vanity Fair.

You will be asked to perform a few very simple manoeuvers while riding your horse in the judging arena. These will be extremely easy and are designed to show off all the hard work and glamour you have put into your presentation. Listen carefully to the judge’s instructions during the show, and in particular when your Entry Number is called during judging so you will know what is required.

Judging

Judging is based on your horse’s traits, in addition to your appearance on the day. Thoughtful breeding and planning is just as important as making sure you are dressed to impress.

Judging is divided into three parts and based on the following:

Events & Class Types

Please be aware that only 15 horses maximum will participate for each class type so entries are limited. It is important to register as early as possible.

You can only enter one horse or pony per class type, up to 2 horses/1 pony in total for the show. If you are a rider, you may ride up to two horses or ponies total for the show.

All ABC breeds are welcome to enter the Vanity Fair, and are dividing into 9 Classes. The registration system will automatically find the correct Class type based on your horse’s ID to make signing up as easy as possible.
